  About me

I have been interested in complementary medicine, health care and health communication most of my life. In one of my first jobs I edited reference books on both complementary and conventional medicine, and after that I went on to study health information in developing countries. But it was seeing my mother heal her eczema through food and herbs that really ignited my interest in studying complementary medicine and becoming a nutritional therapist. Since then I have seen over and over again the amazing therapeutic effects of good food and have come to realise how much we can all do to improve our health and prevent illness - a message I find deeply inspiring and exciting, especially as science progresses and we learn more and more about how our bodies work and how fundamental nutrition is to every aspect of health and wellbeing.

As well as working with clients, I help to supervise student clinics for the College of Naturopathic Medicine in Brighton, and undertake occasional speaking and writing engagements.
